Career Path

Q: Describe your career path. How did you get into what you do now?
A: Initially, I worked in the oil industry, overseeing drilling operations. I decided to venture into landscaping due to my affinity for working outdoors and engaging in physical labor. As I immersed myself in the landscaping industry, I discovered a growing fascination for trees. This newfound interest prompted me to pursue certification as an Arborist.

Q: Explain your position. Describe your role with the company.
A: My role revolves around residential tree work. I operate a trim truck, executing tasks that involve tree care and maintenance for homeowners. I coordinate tree assessments, organize pruning or removal operations, and ensure compliance with city regulations.

Q: What are you most passionate about professionally? What excites you most about your work?
A: I am deeply passionate about hazardous removals. There’s a great satisfaction in successfully executing these intricate removals and protecting both human lives and the surrounding environment.

Q: What is your favourite part about your job / working for the company?
A: My favourite part about my job is the unique work environment that being part of an employee-owned company provides. This ownership structure sets a different tone within the organization, fostering a comfortable and respectful atmosphere from employees to upper management. We all share a common purpose and understanding, which translates into a deep sense of pride in our work.

Q: Who has played an influential part during your time with the company & why?
A: I have had the pleasure of working with a wonderful group of employees who have made my experience enjoyable. However, the most influential person would be Terry Richards. Terry’s guidance and leadership have been instrumental in my professional growth within the company.

A: Proactive. Engaging. Knowledgeable. Supportive. Appreciative.

Q: What is a value statement or quote you live by?
A:I am a brother’s and sister’s keeper. I am committed to safeguarding and supporting those around me.

Hobbies, Interests & Influences

Q: What do you like to do when you aren’t working?
A: I like to work on my woodwork projects, automotive bodywork and mechanics, kayaking and nature exploration.

Q: Who was the most influential person in your life?
A: The most influential person in my life would be my mother. Her impact on me has been profound, shaping my character and values in numerous ways. I am grateful for her unwavering support, love, and guidance throughout my life.

Q: What’s something about you that not many people know?
A:One thing that people might not know is I have a nursing degree.

Q:  Do you and/or your family have a favorite tradition?
A: Our favorite traditions revolve around the time we spend together as a family, regardless of the specific occasion. Whether it’s engaging in meaningful conversations, sharing laughter, or simply enjoying a delicious meal, these moments remind us of the love and support we have for one another.
